ABOUT THE PROJECT
Stage 2 was constructed in two stages and is now complete.

Stage 2A was completed in July 2009 linking the existing pathway near Blue Grass Crescent in Eight Mile Plains to Sherwood Place and Westminster Way in Wishart including a bridge over Bulimba Creek.

Stage 2B was completed in June 2010, connecting the pathway to Maibry Street in Wishart.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

·         Encouraging increased commuter and recreational walking and cycling by delivering a missing link in the Bulimba Creek Bikeway network between Logan Road and Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Road.

·         Increasing access to Council bush and park land areas, encouraging greater use of existing Council facilities.

·         Encouraging pedestrian and cycle trips to other trip attractors along the broader Bulimba Creek Bikeway network, including the Carindale and Garden City shopping centres.
