28/08/2009 - Clem Jones Tunnel (CLEM7)
The new Horace Street on ramp connecting Lutwyche Road inbound to the Inner City Bypass Westbound is now open to traffic.
Construction of the CLEM7 is continuing with one of the new interchange bridges at Bowen Hills now open. The new bridge replaces the old Horace Street on-ramp used by motorists to access the Inner City Bypass (westbound) from Lutwyche Road.
Other surface works are also continuing with the final layer of asphalt going onto Ipswich Road this month. Asphalting on the Pacific Motorway has had to be delayed due to current weather conditions. Current temperatures are too cold for the surface to set correctly. These works have now been delayed until the warmer weather in September.
